Written for Dr. Drumheller for Psych. 102, this essay discusses theories regarding the human sleep cycle and how they might be transferred over to a computational model of the human memory. It also describes a theoretical model based on the proposals of similar models and configures it to try to be as specific to the understanding of human sleep as possible.
Written for Mr. Solomon for English 202, this essay explores theories on the origins of language put forward in Derek Bickerton's Language & Species and Terrence Deacon’s Symbolic Species with specific regard to differences in the approach to Chomsky’s Language Acquisition Device (LAD), the species language barrier, and whether an intermediate language existed between protolanguage and language.
